The rejection that I faced that day,
When I asked, "Will you be my Valentine?"
It seemed like the end, my heart did break,
But I knew I had to learn to take.
Years later, I recall that moment still,
The fear and the pain, the will to thrill.
But now, with a smile, I look back on that day,
And I see it as a beautiful memory in every way.
The courage it took, to put myself out there,
To chase my dreams, with nothing to spare.
The rejection, a lesson I learned,
That life is a journey, with many turns.
So I hold that memory, close to my heart,
With gratitude, for every moment, every part.
For it taught me strength, and how to grow,
And that every experience, is a beautiful show.
And now, I stand tall, with my head held high,
Ready for whatever life may bring, without a sigh.
For I know that I've got the courage and the grace,
To face the world, with a smile, and a beautiful space
